2025 BMW 3 Series price and specs
BMW has reduced the base price of its 3 Series range while adding extra equipment.
The 2025 BMW 3 Series range will arrive in Australia at the end of this year, priced from $89,900 before on-road costs – a $4800 saving on the outgoing model.
You’ll need to look closely to spot the differences with the updated 3 Series. There’s a new steering wheel design and new 19-inch alloy wheel designs.
In addition to the new steering wheel design, there are new adjustment knobs for the air-conditioning vents plus ‘cascade’ lighting integrated into the trim around the central vent.
The major change inside, however, is the 3 Series’ use of the new BMW Operating System 8.5 for the infotainment system.
This features “optimised operation of the ventilation and climate control functions”, as well as a “flatter” menu structure, and customisable shortcut widgets on the driver’s side of the screen joining the anchored climate control bar at the bottom.
Newly standard across the local range are features like a sunroof, heated steering wheel and heated front seats.
Under the skin, BMW has retuned the 3 Series’ chassis for better ride and handling, with changes including stiffer mounting connecting the rear dampers to the body.
BMW says there’s a “notable increase in comfort across all driving situations… without any loss of the customary 3 Series dynamic prowess”, with more precise and composed handling.
Overseas-market 330e Touring shown
The company will offer only three variants in Australia – sedan and wagon versions of the 330i, plus an M340i xDrive sedan – after it axed the base 320i and plug-in hybrid 330e earlier this year.
While the 330i is cheaper than it was for 2024, the 3 Series’ base price is still almost $10,000 more expensive than in 2023 when the 320i opened the range.
